The government has made e-KYC mandatory for ration card holders. This process ensures that the ration benefit reaches the right person. Check eKYC status at home

Now you can check the e-KYC status of your ration card even sitting at home. For this some simple steps have to be followed:

First of all go to the official website of Public Distribution System (PDS) of your state.
Enter your ration card number in the form given on the website.
Click on Status Check button. You will see the status of your e-KYC.

2. Now open this application.
3. Now you will see the option of Aadhaar seeding on the home page. Click on this option.
4. Now enter your Aadhar card number or ration number and click on search.

Each state has its own PDS website from where you can check e-KYC status:

1. Himachal Pradesh: epds.hp.gov.in
2. West Bengal: wbpds.wb.gov.in
3. Other states: nfsa.gov.in


Meaning of e-KYC status

When you check e-KYC status you will see one of the following statuses:

1. Complete: This means that your e-KYC has been completed successfully.
2. Reject: It means that your e-KYC has been unsuccessful. In this situation you will have to get e-KYC done again.


things to note

Deadline: The last date to get e-KYC done is 30th November. After this, the ration of those who do not get e-KYC done will be stopped.
Aadhar Card Required: Aadhar Card is necessary for e-KYC. E-KYC will not be possible without Aadhar card.
